Real drive cost (based on real charge summary) - now it's "fake cost"
Hi, as far as I've noticed "drive cost" does not relay on real charge cost, but it just uses some flat rate (home charging?) which is nothing close to real drive cost... I do know that showing real drive cost is not that simple as multiplying kilometers by medium usage & cost for every ride - but it can be easier to allow it to recalculate on "roadtrips" when we do know how many km were driven and how much money was spent on charges.
What system is showing right now is really not good, in my example please see table on the right:
- 1206,93km driven,
- total cost - 206,94PLN
app displays PLN/100km: 17,15PLN
Real cos is really different, when we do add real cost:
- supercharging cost 213,9
- other public charging - 192,66
- home 18,47
total: 425,03PLN
distance: 1206,93km
REAL COST: 35,22 PLN/100km
As far as I've read in other descriptions - it is calculated "driven km" multiplied by kWh cost in home charging time, but it is not real callculation. It is not real at all. Can you please change that it is calculated more accurate way? My proposal:
Roadtrip:
- add all charging cost within "road trip" time
- divide by all km driven (not energy used, especially in winter time there is a lot of energy used to heat battery / cabin)
TOTAL's / calendar:
- add new variable "approx charging cost" which could be all charging costs divided by driven km,
this way it should display more accurate calculations without big data calculations
I do realise that calculating "live" usage when charging cos is not costant within 100kkm is a big math task and requires some hardware to calculate it "on the flight" but maybe some premium extra paid option would allow me not to recalculate by hand every time when my wife asks "what is real cost of your car" :) That's something I'd pay extra :)
Right now values displayed on the right - are false (not true), since it can be done really easily as simple add/divide on example of a roadtrip (it can be even calculated on browser side) and displayed correctly - please consider fixing that...
FSD Beta heat map
It would be interesting to see where the FSD Beta testers are located. I realize for privacy issues you wouldn't want to show their exact location or drive maps, but even seeing the count by state would help understand where testing is likely going on. Thanks.
Geofenced Notifications
It would be great of we could get geofenced notifications. They could be set up to trigger optionally when the car enters or leaves a particular area. Thanks!
I Created a iOS scriptables widget
Thought I'd share a little project I've been working on. I've tried a variety of Tesla apps that add info to in a widget, but they're either expensive, or they disrupt the car's sleep. Since TeslaFi has an API, I used scriptable to build a widget that gives spits out details in a widget.
The widget is available on Github, and I'll keep adding features to it as they make sense.
Overlay software updates on battery report
Most of my significant changes in estimated range have coincided with software updates. It would be nice to have the an indicator of software updates overlaid on the Battery Report graph.
Do not create ''idle' records of just one or 2 minutes
Please do not create Idle records of just one or 2 minutes.
Every time you arrive at a charger, step out and plugin already an extra Idle record is created *with 0 range loss) for the one or 2 minutes that you are parked. Creates unnecessary records in the daily overview.
Firmwares per country/continent and firmware version breakdown
I'm from the Netherlands and most firmware stats are only easy to follow for US owners. It would be nice to filter firmware info based on continent and/or country. For example "Europe" or "Europe/Netherlands".
Then you could see the current breakdown within a country. Meaning, what versions and count/percentage in that country/continent. Another view could do a breakdown for a specific version. Show the breakdown of car types for that version.
I understand that for some you actually need a new reporting dimension and that the other is just filtering in the data presented but it would make it way more useful.
Stay logged checkbox (with cookie).
Would be helpful, especially for logging on in the car. Perhaps add a password confirm to any settings changes.
Feature Request: Charge Type - 'Work'
We have the 'home' and the 'travel' charge types. What if we could have an option for 'work' so we can track the difference in costs and usage between charging at home and work etc?
