Add Price of Gas Near 'Gas Savings' Statistic and Allow a Click to Change Price
Every time I see the gas savings I question what price is used for the calculation and how accurate is it.
Where is this price set and is it user settable? I am still a newbie here and I feel there are others that
would like to know more about this and how to change or how it is changed.
So many different prices in so many different areas. Prices change daily. I want to know more
about the savings calculation shown.
How do I export my drives to an MS Excel file?
How can I export my drives on TeslaFi and download the results to a CSV MS Excel file to my laptop?
Battery report based on AGE instead of ODOMETER
Some people drive 200 kilometers a day other 200 a week. When comparing it is pretty much impossible to see if AGE has any impact.
I would like to see that the X-Axis can be set to TIME, or even better AGE of the car. I think that for most Model S/X the production month can be extracted from the VIN number but unsure if this is possible for Model 3 too.
If AGE is not possible then at-least the TIMESTAMPS as the left and right most values.
For example, I think that AGE does have a significant impact on capacity. Friends of me with a similarly aged S has almost identical degradation while his ODOMETER is 3x more than me and I would like to validate this.
Summary for Idles and Sleeps
Idles and Sleeps are summarized for one day. More important is having it summarized for multple days/months in order to get a proper idea of the drain during both periodes. I don't know how to do this otherwise then manually adding all day results. Is there a manner to do this?
Fleet Temperature efficiency
In the fleet tab, add a chart showing the temperature efficiency of the fleet with option to filter by model. It would be really interesting to see with all the data accumulated by all users. Helps to provide an expected average or baseline at the various temperatures.
wind speed shown but not direction relative to driving
It is not clear where wind speed data is coming from but since there is no associated direction it is completely not useful. It seems obvious that wind is a factor, but the direction of the wind is more important than the velocity. Please try to add the direction to the data collected so users can benefit from the data, rather than have wasted data show up in our logs.
12v Battery stats please
This is the place to ask for raw data on the 12V DC "car" battery. While some other posts have a different focus I couldn't find a direct match asking to add just the numbers. We can iterate on our own spreadsheets to correlate old or failing batteries, vampire charging, sleeping, etc.
Old / Failing 12V Battery Prevents Sleep
I've been on TeslaFi since August 2016. During that time, I never had a problem with my Model S failing to sleep (except when I changed the settings known to interfere with sleep). Beginning in August 2019 my car no longer was willing to sleep. Settings were fine, logs show TeslaFi giving the car a chance to sleep. Nothing helped and I was busy with other matters.
Fast forward to November, 2019 and my car gives the alert to have the 12 V battery service/replaced. Tesla replaced the battery yesterday and with no other actions on my part, the car is back to sleeping just fine. There wasn't even a software update to the car, so the only change was replacing the 12 V battery. (Aside to the other old timers - this is my first 12 V battery replacement, so I got about 4 1/2 years. Not bad given about all the concerns back in 2015 and earlier with many 12 V batteries failing after a year.)
Might be worth adding this to the knowledge base article on reasons why a car won't sleep. As the 12 V battery degrades and no longer holds a charge well, the need to more frequently recharge the 12 V battery seems to keep the car from going to sleep.
Caveat. My car has AP1 and the MCU1 control unit, so it remains to be determined whether cars with the newer control units behave the same way. In any case, it will be a few more years before the 12 V batteries degrade on those cars. For now, I expect this to be an issue mostly for older Model S.
