They probably forgot to re-enable remote access in the car.  Try going to ControlsSettings > Safety & Privacy and make sure remote access is enabled.

Version numbers old/other style vs. 2017.week.version

boaterva 6 years ago updated 6 years ago 2

Can we get the email version mailer to not send out updates for this sort of report as below for 17.50.97?  All it does when reporting the interim 17.50.97 number is confuse people that don’t understand it and perhaps mess up things as it’s now the ‘current’ version number?  (I don’t know how that would be done either, but it’s not a ‘real’ version number as you know...)

We went from 2017.50.2 to 17.50.97 in emails.  We didn’t then get a new email for 2017.50.2 when this car got it... I have no idea what TeslaFi thinks the ‘latest’ version is now.   :)

Hi,

I'm omitting the 17. and upcoming 18. results from the latest updates table now and the email script so these should not show up or trigger an email anymore.

The 2017.50.2 3bd9f6d email did go out.  I know because I received tons of vacation auto-replies to the emails.  :-)

Thanks,

James

Preferences: TeslaFi Leaderboard - Home?

d21mike 6 years ago updated by James 6 years ago 1

"this also removes your car from the TeslaFi users map and Supercharger status page".

Not sure I care about my car being listed on the Supercharger status page but I don't like my car showing on the Map if it is at my Home.  Seems like a security issue to show where all the Tesla's are located.  Please clarify.

Answer
James 6 years ago

The live map has an accuracy of 2 decimal places as opposed to the 6 reported by the API.  In other words the accuracy is about 1 mile of where the car actually is.  If you try to find your car you'll notice the pin is not where the car is.  My car is actually showing as in the middle of lake michigan right now.

Hopefully that helps.

Thanks,

James

Please add the "Previous Version" column from the Software versions main page to the details page (Latest Fleet Updates), too

StefanSarzio 6 years ago updated 6 years ago 2

I love the "Previous Version" row on the first page with software updates that can be reached via the link from the main page. It shows the latest 10 updates.

When clicking on the link "Latest Fleet Updates" more than 10 entries are shown, but without the "Previous Version". Please add that row.

Incomplete/Intermittant Logging

joelhuston 6 years ago updated by James 6 years ago 1

Logging is very unreliable for me.  Charges that get logged (if they get logged at all) are incomplete (a charge that was actually from like 65% to 90% only shows ~88 to 90).  And drives that get logged don't show the whole drive.  Many drives don't show up at all.  Is this normal?

Hi.  You've changed your polling time while idle settings in the sleep section to poll for data every 120 minutes.  This is making TeslaFi only check for drives or charges every two hours and missing a lot of data.  This should be set at 1 minute.  Let me know if you're still experiencing any issues after reseting it.

Thanks

Charging session

XeonSX 6 years ago updated by James 6 years ago 1

How is charging session start / end calculated?  I have a charging entry, logged an hour ago, that only lasted about an hour however teslafi is showing that I was charging for about 3 days and this is despite having lots of drives and other idling sessions.  See screen shot below. Location of this charge was also wrong.  My suspicion is it decided to count charging session from the first API entry with charging state=Charging but after the last charging state=Charging.  3 days ago I did indeed charge in that location and there is a record charging state=Stopped, however the next minute API shows charging again but no stopped followed.  If this is true, 1 missed or wrong API entry can have a serious consequences.  Would it be possible to add a possibility to edit raw API entry?  I'm sure other fixes would be much harder to implement.

Model 3 listed, but can't be saved

strangedaddy 6 years ago updated by James 6 years ago 1

Under Vehicle:Model:Model 3 310, when save is attempted, it always reverts back to S40.  Other values can be changed, but doesn't actually change to this model.

Thanks.

Bug Report: Setting lower charge rate

Yarder 6 years ago updated by James 6 years ago 5

When I went to the Control function, I wanted to change my Charge Level down to 80%.  It was already charged to 90%, but I was setting up for tomorrow.  I would click on the current setting of 90 and after I changed the text to 80, the screen would reset, and the result is my car would unllock!  I went through the same process again, and got the same result.   So, it's consistent.

Did this on my android phone.
