See more os versions

Tash Wahid 2 years ago updated by James 2 years ago 0

Maybe it would be good to be able to have a slider to the left and right to see more versions of the OS. FSD Beta is 10.12 is now off the chart because you can only show 10.

My Tesla Powerwall charger isn’t charging my car!

Nmhousewife 2 years ago 0

My Tesla 60amp powerwall charger isn’t charging my car. What’s weird is it has all the green lights moving down it when plugged in and my charging port is green and it’s states it’s charging but it’s not, and usually I get 34miles/hr and 48/48 amp but now it says 8/48amps and 0/miles/hr. What even more strange I plug in my slow plug in a regular outlet charger it doesn’t work either, but when I push reset on the charger it’s starts charging my car, and it says charging but it still says 8/48amp and 0/miles/hr. And everyone I charge I have to push reset button or it won’t work! I was going to go to supercharger station this weekend and see what happens. Anyone had this same issue?? And my charging data wasn’t uploaded yesterday in teslefi or my tesla plus app!

How is speed efficiency/temperature efficiency calculated in detail?

ba2164 2 years ago updated 2 years ago 0

Does anyone know how precisely the speed efficiency or temperature efficiency is calculated? First of all, the car sends data every 30 seconds and also has precise odometer information and battery range estimations, but are the efficiency numbers calculated on a per trip basis or every 30 seconds?

Per trip example: find out the start and end odometer, start and end battery range, and average speed, to find the efficiency vs. speed graph. Cons: average speed might not paint a good picture if you spent most of your trip at 10mph and 50mph and thinking that the average 30mph is where all the data is referring to.

Every 30 seconds example: find the odometer difference, battery range difference, as well as speed difference after 30 seconds calculate efficiency from there. Cons: sometimes the odometer or battery range doesn't move in 30 seconds, leading to some divide by 0 errors.

Which one is the likely one to be used in TeslaFi? Or is it a third method that I didn't think of?

Scheduled charge stop not working at home

tomjonesrocks 2 years ago updated 2 years ago 2

Am not sure how this forum works but scheduled charge stops for me haven't been working for some time (at least at home - haven't used this feature out) and I'm finally getting around to troubleshooting this. This is arguably the primary reason for my membership. Any suggestions for troubleshooting / correcting the issue? Has anyone else had issues?

You do not have controls enabled so schedules will not run.  You can this in the message at the top of the schedules page and by clicking on schedules log in the schedules page as well.

You can enable controls by generating a new Tesla API Token in settings->Tesla account and selecting enable controls when generating the token.

Allow multiple users per account with user permissions

zeke schmois@gmail com 2 years ago 0

I've been working closely with the electric utility company in Southern New Hampshire to be the first customer to install a Time of Use EV charging meter. Because of how sluggish this industry is (and how poor third party data can be), they require their own meter be installed with the EV charger hooked up to it directly. This would be fine except that the cost of such an installation can be expensive, and there's still a monthly fee for the meter.

The department working on this would love to use third party data like Tesla's APIs, but until they get enough funding to properly research the quality of this charging data, they'll continue requiring a meter.

It would be fantastic if TeslaFi allowed the primary account holder create "view only" users for the account so that utilities could (with the customer's approval) access charging data and other piece of information they'd need to track energy usage.

Just wondering if there are any statistics on total CO2 for our personal cars?

Feature request: Add an alert (push/text/email option) toggle for any time a tire pressure drops below a variable that I set

TexARC 2 years ago updated by James 2 years ago 1

Picked up a slow leak on a tire on a Saturday, when I parked Tessie in garage & put on charger no low pressure warning icon on screen, but over Sunday tire went completely flat - I didn't use car on Sunday, so I came out Monday morning to commute 40 miles to to work and only then found tire was completely flat. If I had gotten an alert via TeslaFi on say, Saturday night or Sunday morning I could have taken care of it/adjusted plans on Sunday to avoid stress and being late to work.

Is it possible to know if the trunk is open?

halfpress 2 years ago 0

Somehow I managed to unintentionally open my trunk late last night (I still don't know how but have theories) and it remained so all night and much of the day until a friend mentioned it.

I get unlocked door alerts and window down alerts via TeslaFi, but I don't recall getting a unlocked notice for this situation. Am I right in assuming the trunk can be open while still in a locked state, therefore not triggering this rule? I don't see any rules I can create that seem to be based on door / trunk / frunk open on a Model 3.

Any way to guard against this with an alert, or does this scenario fall between the cracks?

Is there API to access TeslaFI? I would like to automate download data each month.

scott59051 2 years ago 0

At the beginning of each month, I download the previous month's data for long term storage.   I would like to automate this process from my computer with a cron job.
