TeslaFi 2025 Price Increase
In late November 2024, Tesla announced pricing for their new officially supported API to access data from vehicles. This new pricing uses a pay-per-use structure, which requires TeslaFi to pay for every data point accessed from vehicles and each command sent to the vehicle.
Our team has spent an enormous amount of time optimizing and analyzing Tesla's new pricing structure, and we believe we can continue to provide our service at the price of $7.99/month for users moving forward. This price point will provide everyone unlimited data logging with 500 command requests and 25 wake requests per month. Additional commands and wake requests will be available for purchase in the future. We will also provide a yearly payment option in March or April after we have had time to analyze costs with the entire fleet utilizing the new pricing.
TeslaFi has been providing services for Tesla owners for over 10 years, and we have never raised pricing, even with major cost increases year over year. This new change from Tesla has required many new expenses to implement and operate, and we have done our best to keep costs as low as possible for our users. In the coming months, once we have all users migrated to the new pricing structure and receive invoices from Tesla, we will be able to evaluate if we are able to lower pricing.

What's new?
Model 3/Y/Cybertruck & Model S/X 2021+:
TeslaFi will fully utilize Tesla's new Fleet Telemetry system that allows the vehicle to stream data directly to TeslaFi servers. This will eliminate the need to poll for data and provide a more efficient way to gather data by vehicle, only streaming data when it's awake and removing any need for sleep modes.
Fleet Telemetry provides many new data points that we will utilize over the next year, including actual kWh remaining in the battery, lifetime energy used, actual energy used during charging, route lines of each drive, and providing more detailed maps of each drive. There are also many more exciting data points coming over time such as energy gained using regen and more.
Model S/X 2020 and earlier:
Tesla is working on Telemetry for these models and has committed to supporting them and providing the same features mentioned above. Costs to access data are more expensive for TeslaFi to access using the existing API versus the new Telemetry explained above, but we will continue to keep costs the same for all users.
Thank you for your continued support,
The TeslaFi Team
