I can't enable Tesla Telemetry

Below are some potential issues you may encounter when enabling Tesla Telemetry:

1. Check your Tesla API Permissions in Settings->Tesla Account on TeslaFi. There will be a message and indication if you are missing the required permissions for Telemetry.

2. If you are unable to scan the QR code to enable a TeslaFi key, you can complete the process using your phone by visiting www.teslafi.com. Instead of displaying a QR code, it will automatically open your Tesla app.

3. If you are using an Android phone and nothing happens after scanning the QR code or enabling Telemetry, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the Tesla App.

4. If you have multiple vehicles on your Tesla account, make sure you have the correct vehicle selected in the Tesla app before enabling telemetry. If the wrong vehicle is selected, nothing will happen.

5. Check to make sure the TeslaFi Fleet Key is properly installed on your vehicle.  In Settings->Tesla Account under the controls section press the Test Controls button in the TeslaFi Key section.  If the test fails remove any TeslaFi key from inside the car in the locks section and then press the Enable Controls in TeslaFi above the Test Controls button.

6.  If you receive a request timed out error try making sure the car is awake in the Tesla app and has a strong wifi or cellular connection.  If you still receive the error try restarting the car by holding down both scroll wheels until the screen restarts to reboot the vehicle's computer.
