What does “Rebuild driving records” and “Rebuild charging records” actually do? And why would we need to do either?

These two options appear at the bottom of their respective pages. I assume they do what they say they do, but why do I need to do either one? What happens behind the scenes when these options are selected?

I too have this question. What does "rebuild drive records" mean?
I would also like to know what this means! If I started using TeslaFi after I did a road trip would rebuilding the drive records populate the lifetime map?
No - all data captured into TeslaFi occurs at the time of driving. There's no ability to capture historical data of drives you've done prior to using TeslaFi
