Increase polling while driving
It would be useful to have the option to enable increased polling when the car is detected to be in drive mode. This provides more detailed and granular data on speed and position when graphing that information. The current 1 minute interval seems quite long and potentally misses alot of data.

This is quite an old suggestion. And it seems like the current rate today, 2 years later, is 30 seconds.
My guess is that, given the number of users, it might be exponentially more expensive to increase the polling rate.
However, I'd like to bump this request, as the current rate is still quite low during drives. Enough to have many jagged edges on the map, and very low accuracy when following the charts in the maps.
I'd even be willing to pay a premium to have the polling frequency increased.
yes this would be great! would love to see a 1 hz rate if able.

I do think it gets increased, but not enough I'd suggest. Ability to update the 'driving' polling schedule would be nice. Get it to update every 10 seconds or something.
